The percentage calculator finds a percentage of a number, adds and subtracts percentages, finds 100%, calculates the percentage ratio of two numbers and performs other operations with percentages.
Percent is a way of splitting a whole into parts. Percentages are written with the % sign and are most often measured from 0% to 100%.
0% is nothing. For example, the whole pizza was eaten and 0% is left.
Then 50% is half. For example, half of the pizza.
School math usually treats percentages as whole numbers, but like any other numbers, percentages can be fractional. For example, 1.5% is one and a half percent, and 0.5% is five tenths of a percent.
We need percentage operations all the time in everyday life, so it is important to understand them well. Our percentage calculator will help you with that.
